Marching on through the year
Dear lovely reader,
Oh my goodness, it’s almost March!
I’ve neglected my readers and my duties to you - and some promotions I promised to join during the year.
Let’s fix that right now. Kathleen Ayers’s The Study of a Rake is sure to satisfy.
The widowed Duke of Averell is trying to be a better man...
But when he spies a young woman, reading the Iliad beneath a tree no less, Marcus forgets all his good intentions. Miss Weatherly is outspoken, intelligent and enamored of the ancient Greeks. When she brazenly offers to show him the constellations later that night, Marcus readily agrees.
Unfortunately, Miss Weatherly is not the woman Marcus has come to Halloway Park to offer for.
The Study of a Rake is a steamy regency novella and part of the series The Beautiful Barringtons. It can be read before or after The Theory of Earls.

Did someone say Constellations? I’ll be peering to the west just after the sunset tonight to see all the planets lining up … Melbourne will no doubt be covered in cloud. Gah, just our luck, eh?
I mean, the rest of the time it is a magnificent city, but it does feel like any time there’s a celestial event, we get cloud cover all night.
Moving House
So to speak. I’m moving the vast majority of my titles from KU to ‘wide’. This is taking much longer than I anticipated. Some titles must remain where they are for now, but it’s a long process. I sort of forgot how many titles I had. 9 steamy Regency Romps, 7 sweet Unsuitable Suitors, and all my earlier titles I wrote as Ebony McKenna. My poor little ADHD brain is not really doing very well with this. Please be patient with me while I sort it all out.
One book that won’t be moving for at least a year will be this one - My True Love Fled With Me.
I am so in love with this longer novella (it’s 30K words as opposed to usually being closer to 20K) that I feel it might be the start of a whole new series. I’m thinking a team who rescue brides from potentially hideous marriages … and the occasional groom as well!
My True Love is releasing in August this year and is only 99c for pre-order. After release it will be $2.99.
What else have I been doing?
Oh the usual. I’ve joined a few protests in the city against garden variety fascism, and bought my cat a new bed. I think you’ll love the photos of the cat, Ally.
Step one, sniff out the new thing.
Step two, explore.
Step three, pose for the camera!
That’s it from me (and Ally) this time, hope wherever you are in the world, you have plenty of reading and you’re warm from the cold or cool in the heat.
